Institutional investor corporate ownership
In this project, we study the conditions for and practice of institutional investor corporate ownership, with particular empirical focus on Scandinavian reality. Institutional investors are here defined as all those organizations that manage savings on behalf of beneficiaries. This investor category dominates global equity markets, at least in terms of capital invested. By identifying, investigating and evaluating (transformations in) institutional investor modes of ownership, in situations of major or minor shareholdings in a particular corporation, and by monitoring the processes of regulation, in particular on the Swedish stock market, we aim to contribute to academic as well as policy debates regarding capital formation, corporate ownership, and regulation of economic affairs.
