Public procurement as a tool for market development (2024-).
This research project is run by Professor Per Andersson, affiliated researcher Katarina Arbin and Professor Hans Kjellberg. The overall aim is to increase our understanding and knowledge of how public procurement can change to become more innovative and market-driving. Rather than passively adapting to current market conditions, how can public buyers actively participate in and drive the transition towards a future sustainable society? The project relies on in-depth interviews with representatives of both the buying and selling sides to gain knowledge on how governmental agencies can use their procurement volumes to shape, move and renew their supplier markets to achieve long-term goals.
The project is funded by the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket, grant number ).
