ABC of theorizing using sociology as an example - 18 Feb 2020
About the seminar:
The emphasis, in discussions of theory, is usually on the end product of a long process, as part an article or a monograph. In theorizing, in contrast, you focus primarily on what happens BEFORE you have a finished theory. What takes place in the so-called context of discovery differs strongly from the theory in the context of presentation. What the non-linear theorizing process looks like will be discussed, as well as are various ways of improving one's skill in theorizing.
