Data, decarbonization and sustainable investments

Mistra Financial Systems (MFS) was set up as an interdisciplinary research program with the goal to assess how the financial sector can contribute to sustainable development. As part of this work, insights from researchers across the program were recorded in series of discussions on the future of finance.

Which policies and instruments do firms, nations and the EU need to facilitate decarbonization? In this conversational webinar, researchers outline major research results from the 'Governance' and 'Practical Tools' MFS workstreams. The episode takes a deep dive into political regulation and arguably one of the most important and intractable pieces of sustainable finance: the data that underpins all the measurement and regulation of efforts to decarbonize the real economy through the financial sector.
