2018 Visiting Research Fellowship at SCERI
The Stockholm China Economic Research Institute (SCERI) at the Stockholm School of Economics invites applications for a Visiting Fellowship for studies on East and Southeast Asia. The Visiting Fellowship is a 6-month research position for a junior or mid-career researcher.
We welcome applicants from all fields with either a regional or country-specific focus. Most of the research at the institute focuses on China and Southeast Asia (primarily Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines).
In 2015, SCERI initiated a long-term research project on social media in East and Southeast Asia. As a result, we especially want to encourage researchers with an interest and background in research related to social and/or other forms of digital media to apply for the fellowship this year. However, researchers with other research interests are more than welcome to apply, as the final decision will primarily be based on the potential of the proposed research.
The Visiting Fellow will take up the position in September 2018. SCERI expects the Fellow to be an active member of the research institute and contribute by publishing research on East and Southeast Asia.
Qualified applicants will have a PhD in economics, finance, political science, or related fields. The visiting fellow will receive a tax-free scholarship of SEK 20,000 per month.
Applicants shall submit the following material:
- Curriculum Vitae
- Cover Letter
- Research Proposal
- Work Samples (thesis, journal articles, and/or working papers)
- Contact information for two or three references
Applications shall be submitted by February 1, 2018 by email to nanhee.lee@hhs.se.
For more information on the fellowship, contact Program Manager Nanhee Lee at nanhee.lee@hhs.se
