Political Participation by Business Owners
Following gradual economic reforms, the private sector has become an increasingly important ingredient in the Chinese economy. However, private entrepreneurs have long been discriminated against in different ways. Projects in this program include:
- Political Participation and Entrepreneurial Initial Public Offerings in
China (forthcoming in Journal of Comparative Economics) - Escaping Political Extraction: Political Participation, Institutions, and Cash Holdings in China
- Mixing Business with Politics: Political Participation by Entrepreneurs in China
