Michael Halling Associate Professor at the Department of Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics and Mats Nyman, Investment Strategist at Handelsbanken Capital Markets will introduce a discussion addressing the following topics:

• What are the pros and cons of ETF:s?
• Are ETF:s a threat to correct pricing and to financial stability?
• Why are ETF:s less important in Sweden than in other countries?

Michael Halling

Michael Halling is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics and a Research Fellow at the Swedish House of Finance. He holds a PhD in computer science from the Vienna University of Technology and a PhD in finance from the University of Vienna.
His research was published in leading international journals in finance and focuses on empirical asset pricing and asset management.

Mats Nyman

Mats Nyman is a MScEcon Stockholm School of Economics. Former Advisor to the Swedish Minister of Finance, Chief Economist Handelsbanken London, and Chief Equity Strategist at Handelsbanken Capital Markets. Currently Investment Strategist at Handelsbanken Capital Markets.
