SNS/SHoF Finance panel: Banking between regulation and technological change
Technological developments contribute to rapid changes in the financial services industry. Startups introduce new technologies and established companies adapt. How regulations are designed will in turn affect where innovations take place.
One of Europe’s leading banking experts, Professor Arnoud Boot, talked about the structure of the banking industry going forward in this new landscape.
Boot is an advisor to financial institutions and financial regulators around Europe. He is the chairman of the EFA, the European Finance Association.
The Finance Panel is a meeting forum for the financial sector, hosted by SNS and the Swedish House of Finance.
Swedish House of Finance (SHOF) at the Stockholm School of Economics is Sweden’s national research center in financial economics.
Participants:
Martin Andersson, Partner at Oliver Wyman and former Director General of Sweden’s financial supervisory authority (FI)
Arnoud Boot, Professor of Corporate Finance and Financial Markets at the University of Amsterdam
