Call for papers for PhD Nordic Finance Workshop
mar. 02, 2022
The Nordic Finance Network (NFN) and Stockholm School of Economics are organizing the 16th Annual Research Workshop for PhD students in finance on May 9-10, 2022 in Stockholm.
The workshop offers PhD students from Nordic universities a forum to present their research and get feedback from faculty and fellow students. In addition, the workshop aims to provide an opportunity for PhD students and faculty to meet and interact. The workshop is open to doctoral students in finance and faculty members from Nordic academic institutions, irrespective of whether or not their home institutions are members of the NFN.
Papers in all areas of financial economics are welcome. Submissions of papers written solely by PhD student(s) are particularly encouraged, and papers should not have been presented at a major conference like the EFA meeting.
The PhD workshop starts early on Monday morning, May 9th, and runs until the afternoon on Tuesday, May 10th. The workshop format is paper presentations, followed by a discussion. In addition, there will be a workshop dinner on Monday evening. We aim to hold the conference in person in Stockholm.
There is no workshop fee. Traveling expenses (economy class) and accommodation for presenting authors and discussants/chairs will be covered by the NFN.
Papers will be selected based on a review by the Program Committee. The submission deadline is March 21st, 2022. Please submit your full paper in pdf format by e-mail to nfn@aalto.fi and provide name, affiliation and complete contact information. Authors will be notified of the Program Committee's decision by early-April 2022. The registration deadline for PhD students without a paper as well as faculty is April 15, 2022.
Further information about the workshop will be posted on the NFN website: http://nfn.aalto.fi.
