Applied History and Economics – double book launch

Join us for a panel discussion with the launch of "Classics of Applied History" and "The Monkey and the Money." Explore the past and delve into the history of capitalism.

The Center for Statecraft and Strategic Communication at the Stockholm School of Economics and Bokförlaget Stolpe hereby invite you to the book launch of Classics of Applied History edited by John Bew, Andrew Erhardt and Mattias Hessérus and The Monkey and the Money by Kjell A. Nordström.

The presentations will be followed by a drinks reception.

Classics of Applied History is a collection of texts, ranging from Ancient Greece to the present day, on how historical knowledge has been created, taught and used through the ages. In The Monkey and the Money, Dr Kjell A. Nordström takes on the history of capitalism, both as a human endeavor and as a philosophy.

Dr Mattias Hessérus, historian and Director of the Ax:son Johnson Institute for Statecraft and Diplomacy

Dr Andrew Ehrhardt, historian and postdoc fellow at the Kissinger Center at SAIS
