Launching the Inclusive Wealth Report 2024
Join us for the launch of the Inclusive Wealth Report (IWR) 2024: Special Issue on Social Emotional Learning for Social Emotional Capital Accounts (SECA), a collaborative initiative by UNESCO MGIEP and Kyushu University, Japan. This event, hosted by the Stockholm School of Economics and the House of Governance and Public Policy, will explore the integration of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) into human capital measurement, highlighting its potential to enhance the wealth and well-being of nations.
Event Overview
As societies globally strive for holistic well-being, the focus of educational systems is expanding beyond academic achievements to include the development of Social Emotional Skills (SES). These skills are vital for managing emotions, building positive relationships, setting and achieving goals, and making responsible decisions—foundations for both personal and societal well-being.
The SECA report provides groundbreaking insights into how these skills can be quantified and factored into national human capital accounts, offering a novel approach to understanding and fostering inclusive growth.
