What else besides weapons does Ukraine need to survive as a nation?

Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine has been going on for almost a year. Many countries have already contributed weapons and military expertise. But what other kinds of support and resources are needed for Ukraine to survive the conflict with Russia? How can Sweden and the EU contribute?

On Monday, 13 February, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) will host a seminar where Ukraine's needs will be discussed from an economic and political science perspective with several leading experts. Direct from Kyiv, Nataliia Shapoval, Chairman of KSE Institute at Kyiv School of Economics, will give her views. What civilian support is most important for Ukraine to continue functioning during the current conflict? And what is needed in the long term to rebuild the country's infrastructure, research and education systems?

Speakers

Torbjörn Becker, IVA fellow and the Director of the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE)

Fredrik Löjdquist, Director of the Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS)

Nataliia Shapoval, Chairman of KSE Institute at Kyiv School of Economics
