Graduate School in Asian Studies

The Graduate School in Asian Studies will start in January 2023 with funding from the Swedish Research Council.

The graduate school is open to doctoral students from all Swedish universities working on contemporary issues in East and South-East Asia but it also welcomes doctoral students from other universities outside of Sweden depending on the availability of places in courses/events and resources. It brings together doctoral students from different disciplines within the humanities and social sciences and thus creates synergies between existing PhD programmes. The graduate school provides and organizes a range of courses and events such as:

1. jointly developed interdisciplinary doctoral courses
2. regular research seminars/webinars
3. thematic days and workshops
4. an annual graduate school meeting
5. a mobility programme
6. a mentor programme and career events

If you are interested in signing up in the Graduate School and receive more information, please contact Patrik Ström, Co-Director of Center for Asian Studies and Director of European Institute of Japanese Studies at Stockholm School of Economics.
