Students take part in CFR Advisory Board roundtable
In this session, CFR Advisory Board members representing SSE's Retail Club Partners generously shared their outlook on retail – ranging from macro-economic conditions to geopolitical challenges and regulatory concerns, to corporate strategies to cope with changing consumer demands when it comes to price and sustainability.
Students were encouraged to stay curious and contribute to shaping the future by challenging retail companies to become more sustainable. In times of increasing reliance on AI, it was also emphasized that students should train their social and collaborative skills as these will remain important.
The recommendations align with the SSE values and educational mission*, which is central to the design of the Retail Management program and especially its flagship course, Applied Retail Track and the Antonia Ax:son Johnson Tutorial Program.
* SSE works to help the graduates acquire the attributes embodied in the acronym FREE:
- Fact and science based mindset
- Reflective and self aware
- Empathetic and culturally literate
- Entrepreneurial and responsible
