"Equality data is needed for Sweden to become equal"

Statistics have been an important prerequisite for Sweden, to be able to reach the level of gender equality that exists today. We now also statistics for discrimination on the grounds of ethnicity and religion, says researchers Sayaka Osanami Törngren and Lin Lerpold after attending av international conference on equality data that was recently held in Sweden.
"That there is racism and discrimination in Sweden on various grounds is beyond reasonable doubt. The question is how to deal with it in the best way without continuing to politicize and polarize", they say.
