New article by Rikard Westerberg looks at the mobilisation of the masses against wage-earner funds, 1975–1991
Drawing on theories on business-backed activism and protest movements, Rikard Westerberg’s latest article in Business History discusses the unique case of how Swedish employers borrowed tactics typically associated with organized labor for large-scale public mobilization. Westerberg argues that the mobilization against wage-earner funds in 1980's Sweden was a kind of social movement, although backed up by a wealthy and well-organized financier.
