NEW MISUM DIRECTOR OF STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT APPOINTED
“I am extremely happy to join Misum as the center initiates its second phase of science to action impact. Implementable sustainability solutions continue to be urgently needed. This is particularly critical as we strive to manage the current global pandemic and its associated impacts. Sustainable economic thinking will be vital to recovery plans and Misum’s research insights can contribute greatly to collective efforts,’ says Maya Rebermark.
’We are so pleased to welcome Maya to Misum. She brings a track record of engaging with diverse stakeholders across ambitious collaborations at the intersection of sustainability science, business, global policy and education with the aim of facilitating pathways for system change. We look forward to developing collaborations that drive sustainable markets together with Maya and our network,’ says Martina Björkman Nyqvist, Executive Director of the Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets (Misum).
Maya’s most recent work with Stockholm Resilience Centre was to lead the communications engagement for the Global Resilience Partnership, which focused on nurturing business innovation, shaping learning, policy & investments in the value chains of Multinational Corporations, National political planning and Multilateral Development Banks. At EAT, Maya was responsible for the strategy development of the global launch for the award winning EAT-Lancet Commission on Healthy diets from Sustainable Food Systems.
As part of her new position, Maya’s major responsibility will be to engage with key Misum stakeholders and identify collaboration opportunities for research and research-based education that address sustainability challenges and the “knowledge-solution-gap”. Maya will also be responsible for designing and implementing a new holistic engagement strategy in collaboration with the Misum Management Team. Maya will report to Misum Executive Director, Martina Björkman Nyqvist and join the Misum Management Team.
