Misum welcomes Ramin Baghai as co-Director of the Sustainable Finance Initiative
Ramin is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics, connected to the Swedish House of Finance, a Research Affiliate at the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) and a Research Member at the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI). Ramin received his Ph.D. in Finance from the London Business School. His research focuses on corporate finance, especially topics related to corporate governance, responsible finance, and topics at the intersection of labor economics and finance.
''Ramin brings vision, drive and deep topical knowledge on sustainable finance through his research background that will highly contribute to our initiative in its next phase and help expand the sustainable finance arm of Misum'' said Martina Björkman Nyqvist, Executive Director, Misum.
In recent work, Ramin studies the benefits of green bond finance for corporations; financialization (the rising importance of finance, financial markets, and financial institutions in corporate decision making); conflicts of interest in the credit ratings industry; the effects of corporate restructuring on the mental health of workers; and business angel finance. Ramin replaces previous co-Director of the Sustainable Finance Initiative, Michael Halling.
