Center for Sports & Business Partner Day
Under the title "The Role of Sports in Society - Combining Narratives and Measurement for Maximum Impact, the Center for Sports & Business organised a partner day at the Stockholm School of Economics for its sports partners. Througout the day, research was combined with practical workshops and networking.
The event took place in the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Hall (KAW), located in the main building of the Stockholm School of Economics.

09:30-10:00: Registration and Refreshments
10:00-10:50: Profit-Passion-Politics: A Framework for Understanding and Navigating Contemporary Sports. In addition to introducing the framework, we will use it to describe the research and papers conducted at the center.
10:50-11:00: Short Break
11:00-12:00: Presentation of CEMS Projects. Our talented students in International Business will discuss their spring projects within the Swedish Golf Federation and the Marathon Group.
12:00-13:00: Lunch
13:00-13:45: Sustainability Reporting. What are the fundamentals and why will it increasingly impact sports sponsorships and partnerships in the future?
13:45-14:30: Workshop - Combining Narratives and Measurement for Maximum Impact on Sponsors and Funders.
14:30-15:00: Refreshments
15:00-15:30: Summary of the day and reflections on future work.
Workshop
The workshop that was given during the day was based on a foundational framework within sustainability reporting. Key areas being discussed were:
1. Why? Reasons for engaging in sustainability reporting.
2. What? What should be measured? What should be excluded?
3. Data collection? What data should be collected? Balance between qualitative and quantitative data?
4. Reporting? How should data be reported? In which forums and formats?
5. Internal Governance? What is the connection to corporate governance?
