From Sports to Academic Research in Business

Last week, we gathered at the Center for Sports and Business for a workshop exploring how questions from the world of sports can be transformed into academic research topics in business and economics
Adrian von Heijne from Hammarby contributed with inspiring ideas from practice, and SSE PhD students Fanny Almersson and Oliver Lidqkvist Parbratt helped shape them into sharp research questions. During the workshop, we discussed:
How to identify and use key articles as a foundation for research, and how to turn a practical question into a research question.
The result? Some truly exciting theses on sports are in the works from SSE students this year. We can’t wait to see their outcomes and how academic insights can connect back to the sports world!
