SSE earns EQUIS re-accreditation

The Stockholm School of Economic (SSE) has been awarded EQUIS accreditation for another five years.

EQUIS, awarded by EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) is the leading international system of quality assessment of higher education institutions in management and business administration.

SSE has received EQUIS accreditation since 1999. Only 144 academic institutions throughout the world have achieved EQUIS accreditation.

“We are delighted that we have been awarded an unconditional five-year EQUIS term”, said Karl-Olof Hammarkvist, President of SSE. “We see the awarding of this five-year term as a strong vote of confidence from our peers. The EQUIS accreditation allows us to continue to attract top students and faculty from around the world.”

EQUIS accreditation is usually granted for five years. After five years, the institution must demonstrate significant improvement in specific areas that are agreed upon between the school and EQUIS at the start of the accreditation term. This measure causes each EQUIS-accredited school to strive for continuous improvement, ensuring that they remain internationally competitive. The School first received accreditation by EQUIS in 1999.
