Professor Thaler awarded THe Prize in Economis Sciences 2017

This year's prize is awarded to Richard H Thaler for his contributions to behavioural economics at the University of Chicago.

Asked at the press conference about the most important impact of his research, Professor Thaler replied: "That economic agents are human and economic models have to incorporate that".

SSE Professors Per Strömberg and Magnus Johannesson (both members of the Committee for the Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel) and SSE Professor Anna Dreber Almenberg were active at today's press conference where the laureate was presented.

Professor Anna Dreber Almenberg explains the research behind the prize in the TV4 news program.

Professor Per Strömberg comments on the prize in the Swedish television news 'Rapport' (7:39 into the program).
