Synsam new partner to SSE’s Center for Retailing
SSE is well-known for its focus on research and education within retail. Since its inception, the Center for Retailing at SSE has fostered a close collaboration with the retail industry, building long-standing and impactful partnerships.
“We are very happy to welcome Synsam as a Retail Club Partner to our Center for Retailing. Retail is a strategic focal point for us and the partnership with Synsam will further strengthen our position as an academic knowledge hub for retail management, says Professor Lars Strannegård,” President at the Stockholm School of Economics.
Synsam Group is a leading optician group in the Nordic region. Their innovative concepts, customer focus, and sustainability perspective has built a unique, circular business model as well as a production of brands under its own direction on Frösön. Today, the concern has approximately 500 stores, 4,000 employees and a turnover of approximately SEK 6.4 billion.
As a Retail Club Partner in the Retail Management program, Synsam provides SSE students with insights into the company’s ongoing transformation journey and hands-on experience within retail. At the same time, Synsam gains access to the latest research and a deeper understanding of the preferences and behaviors of the younger demographic.
“We really look forward to collaborating with the Stockholm School of Economics and further develop with our most important target group in focus - our customers. Synsam's curiosity and courage to be innovative, to test new ideas together with SSE students in the Retail Management program, and take part of the latest research, is a true privilege,” says Håkan Lundstedt, president and CEO of Synsam Group.
Partnering for Sweden's future competitiveness
