Cai, Yao

Yao Cai joined the Department of Accounting as a PhD student in September 2021. Her research interest lies in management accounting and especially, role identity, sensemaking, and interaction among organization actors in performance management practices. Her current research project is a qualitative study focusing on the roles and identity work of accounting and finance experts in NGOs. Yao holds a BBA in Accounting from Huazhong Agricultural University and a MSc in Accounting, Valuation and Financial Management from Stockholm School of Economics.
