World Class Research

SSE conducts internationally recognized research in economics, finance, business administration and related disciplines. Many of our researchers are among the leading figures in their respective fields.

An institution of higher education like SSE operates on a global scale. The central role of the English language within the education, the globalized job market for well-educated graduates, the harmonization of the EU, technological advances and global nature of scientific knowledge are all examples of factors that drive this development.

Because of this, the Stockholm School of Economics is competing for students and faculty with institutions such as Bocconi, St. Gallen, the London School of Economics, and a host of American schools.
