Support the transformation of our campus the provides inspirational teaching, learning, and social spaces for our students and faculty

Many students have passed through our halls since SSE opened its doors at Sveavägen 65, and we hope many more will in the years and decades to come. Our educational mission represented by the accronym FREE and clarified by the 5 C's looks to provide a dynamic and stimulating educational environment, both on campus and digitally. It is through providing spaces for energetic discussions, building lasting friendships, quiet studies, and reflection that we will best equip the leaders of tomorrow.

We look to our community to help us refurbish our physical environment to not only serve as intellectually stimulating environment but also visually and esthetically pleasing. With financial support from companies, foundations, alumni and individuals, we can provide an intellectually stimulating, visually and aesthetically pleasing educational experience, through incorporating artwork into study spaces, restoring the timeless buildings that honour our historical heritage, and dissolving barriers through digital learning and teaching.

Creating tomorrow's campus

Among the many spaces that our campus is made up of, none are more important than those that provide students the ability to gather, relate to one another, and be intellectually stimulated. Gone are the days of blackboards and lecturing professors, instead the future brings the need for collaborative classroom environments that are flexible to accommodate physical and digital learning and open spaces that allow for peer-learning and synergetic work. With this comes the need for digital classrooms and social spaces.

The 5 C's

As a way of clarifying and articulating issues around the role of our educational philosophy, we have formulated five C’s:

CONTENT (scientifically based knowledge, material and facts);
CONTEXT (a contextualization of the material presented created via meetings, discussions and testing arguments);
COMMUNITY (becoming part of a context, not only during the period of study, but for life);
CONTACTS (created through the deep friendships that are formed during the period of study);
CONFIDENCE (daring to speak in front of others, feeling that your voice matters, that you are worth listening to)

The details

The acoustics, light temperature, and decor are optimized for learning, the ergonomics of both the seating and work stations are addressed, and each renovation enables seamless digital learning so that our education is virtually limitless.
