Actual issues in research in visual arts markets
Erik Wikberg is a full-time researcher and project manager for a two-year post-doctoral project at Stockholm School of Economics Institute for Research (SIR) on the evaluation of artistic quality, financed through FSKF (Föreningen Stor-Stockholms kultur- och fritidschefer), Stockholms Läns Landsting and Kulturrådet.
The project is focused on how cultural organizations handle multiple institutional logics, what strategies they adopt when they are confronted with contradictory demands and which role artistic methods play for the evaluation of artistic quality.
Hanna Borgblad is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Business Administration, section of Marketing, at University of Gothenburg, School of Business, Economics and Law. Hanna graduated at Uppsala University and holds a MSc. in Business and Management and a BSc. in Art History.
In her doctoral work, Hanna conducts two projects in which she studies market practices in art settings. The first project, which constitutes the PhD thesis, regards the emerging marketization of street art and graffiti in Sweden. In the second project she studies the construction and implementation of the Swedish MU-agreement in the museum and gallery sector.
During the fall semester of 2016 she is a Visiting PhD at Copenhagen Business School, Department of Organization.
