Destroying the world to save it

Throughout October and November 2014 the exhibition Dear Jesus, Do Something! by Johan Bergström Hyldahl, in collaboration with the architect duo Fidjeland/Wolgers, was showcased in the atrium of SSE. An exhibition that could be understood as a comic nature morte, a portrait of a modern world in which dominating capitalistic myths and narratives about science, progress and an enlightened future are on the verge of collapse. 

In conjunction with the exhibition the art critic Robert Stasinski  discussed these aspects of the exhibition by addressing the notion of creative destruction in our societal cultures, our economic systems, art, architecture and psychology.
