Application requirements

3 areas are assessed in your application:

Upper secondary / high school / IB diploma (you may apply with predicted grades)

Do you meet the diploma requirements? See what applies to your country/diploma here.

A. Diploma completed in 2026 or before with a minimum GPA corresponding to at least 17.0 (out of 20) in the Swedish grading system.

Please note: admission is highly competitive and normally requires higher grades than the minimum requirement.

You may apply in your last year of studies if you include predicted grades with your application. If your school cannot give you predicted grades, you can instead apply with your previous high school grades including the fall semester grades from your last year.

Conditional admissions will be offered to students graduating after the application deadline. You must complete your application with final grades and documents no later than by the date of enrolment in August, 2025.

NB: Students in the final year of upper secondary school in the following countries cannot apply before they have graduated (because assessment cannot be made until final grades have been issued) and must instead take a gap year before applying (see this page):

  • Cameroon GCE
  • Cyprus (Apolytirion)
  • France (French Baccalauréat):
Please note: if your French school is able to give you predicted grades (relevé de notes) including predicted final GPA (Moyenne Finale), then you are able to apply with predicted grades when still in your final year.
  • Ghana
  • Greece (Apolytyrion)
  • Kenya
  • Nigeria
  • Romania
  • Sri Lanka
  • Uganda

B. Subject requirement: Mathematics. The equivalent of at least Mathematics 3B/3C in the Swedish system.

C. Subject requirement: English.
The equivalent of at least English 6 in the Swedish system.

  • If you don't already meet the English requirement through your diploma, we accept the following English proficiency tests:

    IELTS Academic, Online or UKVI
(Overall score of 6.5 and no section below 5.5)

    - TOEFL iBT
(Score of 20 (scale 0-30) in written test, total score of 90)

HOW TO APPLY: 5 EASY STEPS

First of all, make sure that you meet the above mentioned application requirements. Then follow these 5 steps:

1. Start your application on UniversityAdmissions.se (deadline: January 15, 2025)

Submit your application to UniversityAdmissions.se. You can apply from October 15, 2024 to January 15, 2025.

Submit all documents related to your high school studies - predicted grades, transcripts, diplomas/certificates. Find information about what required documents to submit from your country here. Read the general instructions for international Bachelor’s applicants here.

In general you submit transcripts from year 10, 11, and fall semester grades from year 12. And preferably, predicted final grades.

IB Student? Submit transcripts from your first IB-year as well as predicted final IB grades.

All applicants can upload supporting documents themselves at their account with UniversityAdmissions.se  But if your school doesn’t want to give the predicted grades directly to you as a student, the school can e-mail them directly to UniversityAdmissions (UHR) to verifications@uhr.se and write your application number in the email.

If you are a student at an American High School, the school must e-mail transcripts directly to UniversityAdmissions (UHR) to verifications@uhr.se and write your application number in the email.

NB: Only upload diploma/transcripts and English test results to UniversityAdmissions.se. Do NOT upload CV/resume nor SAT/ACT test scores. This is done directly to SSE when you submit application #2 (see next step).

NB: we do not have rolling admissions. Make sure you have submitted all transcripts (i.e fall semester grades and/or predicted grades) to UniversityAdmssions.se before you submit application #2 (see next step) to us at SSE.

Application fee (only for non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens)
Please note: SSE does not charge an application fee. However, UniversityAdmissions.se charges a small application fee of SEK 900 depending on which citizenship you have. In general, only individuals who are citizens of countries outside of EU/EEA/Switzerland are required to pay an  application fee. There are however some exceptions to this general rule. Find out if you are required to pay an application fee or not here

Tuition fee (only for non-EU/EEA/Swiss/Ukrainian citizens)
In general, only citizens of countries outside of EU/EEA/Switzerland are required to pay tuition fees. At SSE, we also have a special tuition fee exception for Ukrainian citizens that do not need to pay a tuition fee during their entire study time starting with the 2025 intake.

Find out if you are required to pay a tuition fee or not here.
You can also find out more in detail about SSE's tuition fees and scholarships on this page.

Please note: If you are required to pay an application fee, UniversityAdmissions must have received the money no later than early February, 2026 (date TBC). Find more information on how to pay your application fee here.

2. Finish your application in SSE's own application portal (deadline January 15, 2025)

IMPORTANT: Except for the general application you do on UniversityAdmissions.se, you must finish your application at SSE's own application portal Full Fabric no later than January 15, 2025.

Go to SSE’s own application portal hhs.fullfabric.com to submit your application. Fill in the form (please note that if you apply to both programs, you must fill in two separate forms - one for each program). Upload your CV/resume as a separate document as well as your SAT, ACT or ITB-Business test results.

We do not accept these documents uploaded at UniversityAdmissions.se nor sent to us by email.

Please note: we do not have rolling admissions. Make sure you have submitted all transcripts and predicted grades to UniversityAdmissions.se as well as having received your SAT, ACT or ITB-Business test score before you submit the application to us at SSE.

Interested in a scholarship (50 % tuition fee waiver)?
For non-EU/EEA/Swiss/Ukrainian citizens who do need to pay a tuition feeSSE offers a few 50 % tuition fee waiver scholarships.

The application for a scholarship is submitted under the tab "Scholarships" when you apply to our Bachelor programs in Full Fabric. Please note that your application for the scholarships is not going to have an impact on your application for the program.

Scholarships are distributed on a merit and need basis. All scholarship applications are assessed by a selection committee, taking into consideration the relevance and the quality of the personal motivation, academic excellence, relevant extra-curricular activities, program cohort diversity and the distribution of scholarships across all programs.

3. Respond to any requests by SSE and keep track of messages from UniversityAdmissions.se

If any additional steps are required related to your application, our BSc Admissions Team will notify you.

UniversityAdmissions.se might also contact you regarding your qualifications.

Make sure you use the same e-mail address for both applications and check your inbox regularly.

Please note: when you apply with predicted grades, you might receive communication from UniversityAdmissions.se stating that you have an incomplete application. The reason is that most Swedish universities do not accept predicted grades and the information is not always aligned with SSE's specific application process. However, SSE does indeed accept predicted grades.

4. Digital interview

If you are selected to proceed to the next round, we will send out invitations to the digital (online) interviews on February 18, 2025. The interview can be done February 18-23.

5. Accept your offer

If you are admitted to SSE, we will send an offer of admission on April 3, 2025. You will need to reply to your offer by May 1, 2025.

Recommended step: check out housing options

Are you interested in getting help with student housing? SSE offers some apartments directly through SSE and we can also assist you in getting housing from other student housing providers in Stockholm. Find out more here.
