Saman Amir - Researcher

Saman Amir is a researcher at the Stockholm School of Economics. Her research interests lie at the intersection of sustainability driven business strategy and operations for Circular Economy. She approaches her work through the lens of systems thinking and solution-oriented sustainability science. She publishes on topics such as circular supply chains, complex systems modeling, and circular economy implementation in leading journals, including Business Strategy and the Environment and Sustainable Production and Consumption, among others. Additionally, she has worked with EU research and innovation programs like Horizon 2020 and is the founder of an SME that advises on circular economy implementation.

At SSE Executive Education, she works as a Program Director and is responsible for designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating executive programs. In 2024, she joined the Executive MBA program as a Cohort Program Director, to facilitate the learning journey for incoming MBA participants.
