1. Describe your role and what it is that you do overall and on a day-to-day basis.
As an Assistant Professor of Finance, I do research and teach Bachelor students.
2. What is the attraction of doing research?
You get to understand a topic really well and sometimes contribute to it. The thrill of finding something new and important is indescribable.
3. Why did you choose to do your PhD at SSE?
I was attracted by the faculties, many of whom are leading experts in their fields. Stockholm is also a great city to live in.
4. Following the time at SSE, do you have any words of wisdom or advice you would like to share with our current students?
Some projects will fail. Instead of being discouraged by setbacks, use them as an opportunity to learn and grow. Analyse what went wrong and use that knowledge to improve.
5. What are three words that sum up your time at SSE?
Inspiring, rewarding, transformational.
