Student ambassadors at SSE

We know that there are no better representatives for SSE than our own students! The Student Ambassador Program at SSE was initially established in 2001, and the program has since continuously developed and grown. Currently, we annually engage approximately 80 students who play a crucial role in shaping the image of SSE and forming the future cohorts of our Bachelor and Master programs.

Working as an ambassador

The primary objective of the Student Ambassador Program is to actively involve current students in the recruitment of new students to SSE. As a student ambassador, you will inspire others by sharing your own story as well as SSE's vision, culture, and values. A typical ambassador is outgoing, humble, flexible, and an attentive listener who is willing to act as a role model sharing experiences and dreams for the future.

Being part of the Student Ambassador Program not only allows you to cultivate new friendships, but also offers you a deeper understanding and familiarity with SSE. You will collaborate closely with the Program Marketing team at SSE and engage in a wide range of recruitment activities, both nationally and internationally.

The two sections of the Student Ambassador Program

The Swedish High School Ambassador Program is for Swedish-speaking BSc students who represent SSE all over Sweden by engaging with high school students through various activities and events. By sharing personal experiences and your own student journey, you will inspire young prospective students to take the next step on their educational path.

As a high school ambassador, you will visit high schools, participate in national fairs and online webinars, lead campus tours, and hold presentations for prospective students. The highlight of the year is the big BSc Open House Day on campus.
The Digital Student Ambassador Program is for international and Swedish BSc & MSc students who represent SSE globally and in Sweden by engaging with prospective students online, sharing authentic experiences via online and in-person events, writing blogposts, and promoting SSE on social media via the three different teams:

👉🏼 The Unibuddy Team (BSc & MSc students)
This team is visible on the peer-to-peer chat platform Unibuddy and answers questions from prospective as well as newly admitted students. They also share their SSE experiences in blog posts frequently. The BSc Unibuddies typically also engage in some online webinars as well as the big BSc Open House on campus every year.

👉🏼 The Outreach Team (MSc students)
This team hosts online events, participates in student recruitment webinars, joins school visits and campus tours and shares their SSE experience with the prospects.

👉🏼 The WeChat Team (BSc & MSc students)
This team includes our Chinese-speaking students who spread the word about SSE on Chinese social media platforms and forums such as WeChat and Chasedream by answering questions in group chats, translating articles, and creating their own content for WeChat.

Additional opportunities

There may also be opportunities for SSE student ambassadors to take charge of SSE's official social media accounts, take part in video productions and work at events.
