SSE providing science-based support for Ukraine’s EU accession
The UNITED project is a strategic partnership between SSE and DAU focused on increasing the negotiation competence of key personnel from Ukraine’s MFA involved in EU membership negotiations and enhancing the internal negotiation infrastructure of the Ukraine MFA. As part of the project, SSE will aid the exchange of insights and experiences from Baltic EU accession with key activities facilitated by SSE Riga.
The project is hosted by the SSE House of Governance and Public Policy (GaPP) and led by Andrew Schenkel from the Department of Management and Organization (DMO), Erik Wetter from the House of Innovation (HOI), and Per Hedberg from the Department of Marketing and Strategy (DMS).
By strengthening the negotiation capabilities of the Ukrainian MFA, the UNITED project will directly contribute to Ukraine’s strategic goal of European integration. The initiative underscores SSE’s commitment to a free and sovereign Ukraine and highlights the role of science-based public policy in advancing global diplomatic efforts.
